- Equation
- |Φ⁺⟩ = (|00⟩ + |11⟩)/√2
- Field
- Quantum Computing
- Named After
- John Stewart Bell
- Year
- 1964
Symbols
|00⟩, |11⟩ both qubits reading zero, or both reading one · the superposition holds the pair in perfect correlation with neither value decided
Significance
Two qubits sharing one state: measure either and the other's answer is fixed instantly, however far apart. Bell showed no hidden local mechanism can fake these correlations — entanglement is real, and it is the working fuel of quantum computing, teleportation, and quantum cryptography.
