extraction
The magnet metal. Follows the same crack-and-leach route as cerium, then solvent extraction to neodymium oxide, which is reduced electrolytically in a molten fluoride bath to metal for NdFeB magnets. Praseodymium travels with it and is usually sold as a didymium mix.
